Ruffles

Friday evening, Brooks and I were driving and saw a dog running up and down the side of the road. It was six o'clock at night and already very cold. We pulled the car over and the pup ran right over. He was so friendly and cute. He had a collar on that was embroidered with the name Ruffles, but no other identification. The poor thing was wimpering and probably very cold. We tried going to the houses surrounding where we found him but no one was home. So... I decided to take him home for the night. He was very well behaved in the car. I got him food and a leash at the food store. When I got him home, he was very hungry and dehydrated. I gave him a bath and his mood seemed to pick right up. Ruffles and I hung out until bed time. He slept on a blanket next to my bed. He was so well trained that he didn't even have an accident in the middle of the night. The next day, Brooks and I made Found posters to hang up around where we found him. Unfortunately since my apartment complex charges a ridiculous fee for keeping animals, Ruffles couldn't stay with me much longer. Brooks called his aunt and thankfully she agreed to keep him until we could find his owners. Ruffles was such a sweet dog. Even though he only spent a night with me, I got very attached. I know he is safe and taken care of now. I am happy that a could find him a nice home.

My Apartment

I love my first apartment!! I live very close to campus with two other girls, Catherine and Lauren. We each have our own rooms and we share a living area and kitchen. I was so happy to decorate my bedroom in my favorite colors, brown and aqua. I wanted it to be very calm since being a senior in college can be kind of stressful. Living in this quiet apartment is a long way off from living in the hectic sorority house my past two years at school. I had a lot more space to play with rearranging my room at the house but my restlessness has kicked in already and my bedroom has already been rearranged from this picture.
